Money Hungry

Money hungry is about a young girl named Raspberry. Everyone calls her greedy but she says its called preparing for a rainy. Raspberry knows a lot about rainy days. Raspberry has been homeless and living street. She vowed that she and her mother would never live on the streets again. Since then Raspberry has done any and everything to get money. She has sold rotten candy, pencils, and even cleaned up a halfway house for money. Because of this, her friends start to hate her.
Raspberry's preparation falter when she is accused of stealing and her mother throws all her money down the window. Then, they end up back on the streets. Raspberry is now faced with her worst nightmare. She can't go to her friends or anyone.
Money Hungry was a great book. I thought that Raspberry was just doing what she thought she had to do to keep off the streets. She probably took it too far and put her money before her friends. The organization that I observed is chronological order. The book was written from first to last.

  1. I haven't read this book but if I was in Rasberry's situation I would have put money before my friends as well. Because your friends are not going to give you a roof over your head. So, she had to get money to support her family which is suppose to be her mothers responsibility. She probably should have told her Mom what she was doing do get the money then her Mom wouldn't have thrown it out the window.

  2. I understand what you mean but greed and wanting money over anything even those closest to you isn't healthy. I think that if she had made money but was nice to her friend then she would have had someone to lean on when times got hard.
